I have been offered the opportunity to teach a workshop in Tuscany in
September, 2025. I'm sending this to find out if there is enough
interest to make definite plans. If you think you might like to join

ABOUT SAN FEDELE
10 miles northeast of Siena in the Chianti hills, San Fedele is a
renovated 12th century monastery, sitting among roses, olive groves,
swimming pool, a Medieval style vegetable garden and a large central
piazza. It will be our home for the week.
ACCOMMODATIONS
There are 9 unique double rooms and 8 suites. All rooms have air
conditioning, telephone, TV, wireless internet and mini bar.
EXCURSIONS
We'll take day trips to nearby hill town villages like medieval Sienna,
a walled walking city with narrow streets full of local artisans-plenty
of opportunity for photos and shopping. Other possible places to visit:
Radda, Castellina, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Volterra, and we can
visit a winery for a tour, tasting and Sunday dinner.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
We'll work in the studio from photos taken during our excursions.
Students can work in soft pastels and/or oils. I'll demo often. You
bring your own supplies. Upon registration, you will receive a supply
list.
After our excursions or days of painting in the studio, we'll return
each evening to relax in our 1,000 year old monastery to enjoy the
surroundings and have a glass of wine. Then we will move to the dining
room, where the monks used to assemble, to enjoy our local chef's
authentic Tuscan meals.
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
Shared double room*
Daily traditional breakfast and dinner, including wine
Daily painting classes and individual guidance
Excursion to Siena
½ day excursions to nearby settings and hilltowns
Pick up from Florence train station at 3:30 pm on arrival Saturday
Transfer to Florence station or airport on final day
PRICE: Around $3,595.
* Supplement: $575 for single room, limited availability.
$500 deposit due upon registration.
